2006 Pinot Noir


Yileena Park has become well known for its fuller bodied Pinots, and the 2006 vintage continues the tradition.

2006 was a warm dry year, and the estate produced low yields of 2 ton/acre. This concentrated fruit was hand picked and hand plunged in open fermentors before being aged in French oak.

The wine is of intense colour and has lifted berry fruit aromas of dark cherry and plum with spicy overtones.

The oak is fully integrated and the finish is long with silky fine grained tannins.

Drinking beautifully now, but you will be rewarded with 6-8 years of cellaring.
