2003 Reserve Merlot

This 2003 Reserve Merlot is a complex and flavoursome wine with a lovely texture. A medium-bodied palate showing plum pudding and spice, ripe dark berries, and soft lingering tannins. This wine will reward medium to long-term cellaring.

2003 was a low yielding, warm and dry vintage in the Yarra Valley. Throughout the vintage, the weather conditions were temperate and dry. The Yileena Park vineyard enjoyed and uninterrupted, warm ripening period ensuring the development of classic cool climate flavours and balanced acidity.

Colour: Purple red - bright medium brick red.

Bouquet: Lifted plums, spice and violets with savory, earthy oak. Built to age.
